Neuroqualia and the Human Affectome Project

About the project

Neuroqualia was an international and multidisciplinary initiative connected to the Human Affectome Project, which sought to organise the vocabulary and scientific understanding of human affective experience and relate it to its neurobiological foundations.

Juan participated in the taskforce devoted to sadness under the guidance of Andrew H. Kemp. His contribution focused on reviewing and synthesising evidence from affective neuroscience, psychology and related disciplines.

The collaboration contributed to The Neuroscience of Sadness and the subsequent integrative article The Human Affectome, which proposed a shared framework for affect, feelings, emotions and moods.
