Juan A. Arias holds a PhD in Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology and is a biostatistician and data scientist. He currently works at TripleAlpha Innovation on multidisciplinary data science projects in fields such as agronomy, industrial production optimization, and demand forecasting. His work involves R, Python, SQL, Shiny, Quarto, PostgreSQL, Power BI, Azure, Databricks, Docker, and Git, among other technologies.

He previously worked as a biostatistician at Biostatech S.L., providing statistical consulting and support for R&D projects. His career also includes research and teaching roles at institutions in Spain, the United Kingdom, and Portugal. During his time at Swansea University, he collaborated with Prof. Andrew H. Kemp. This collaboration resulted in a book chapter on social ties, health, and wellbeing and the article The Neuroscience of Sadness, published in Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews (Q1). He is also the creator and maintainer of neuroSCC, an R package for reproducible neuroimaging data analysis.
